To make the vision defect correction procedure safe, patient-friendly and customised, all the parameters of this ultra-modern work platform are oriented towards increasing efficiency, achieving optimum treatment results and the rapid recovery of vision. Phaco + Viterectomy for Anterior and Posterior

This vision system is an ophthalmic microsurgical system that is indicated for both anterior segment (i.e., phacoemulsification and removal of cataracts) and posterior segment (i.e., vitreoretinal) ophthalmic surgery. It is a micro-coaxial technology; an element that permits less invasive procedures without compromising surgical techniques or lens removal technologies that results in better surgical outcomes and safety than with traditional phaco-emulsification equipment. The systems are configured with options for efficient and safe cataract lens removal offering a combination of unparalleled fluidics.

Our Services

We do corrective procedures for the following:

Advanced wave-front technology followed by microsurgery using sophisticated laser is used to reshape the cornea. The procedure is performed in 30 minutes and may be used to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Most advanced Phaco-emulsification technique is being used for cataract removal whereas the procedure involves making a small incision in the eye and taking out the cataract using ultrasonic power.

Glaucoma is a condition characterised by increased pressure in the eye/ raised intraocular pressure. The patient is thoroughly investigated with the help of Visual Field Analyser – Perimeter, High Definition Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), YAG Laser, Slit Lamp before going for the treatment basis available drug therapy and laser treatment surgery options to relieve pressure and to restore good vision.

Squint or crossed eye is a condition in which eyes point in different directions. The treatment of surgeries usually involves eye glasses or surgeries like Occuloplasty, Complete evaluation of eye deformities, Ptosis Surgery, Occuloplasty corrective surgery, Reconstructive orbital surgery, Orbitotomy for orbital tumour.

Diagnostic medical and surgical treatment for vitreous and retinal diseases like retinal holes, retinal detachment, Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) using laser surgery and advanced techniques like Vitreoctomy technology for surgical procedures, Fundus Camera for Fundus Fluoroscein Angiogram (FFA) for the detail diagnosis of typical eye diseases in a single workstation to enable reproducible and intuitive imaging for every single patient eye.

The Green Laser (with LSL + LIO + Endo) workstation is the first retinal coagulation laser that offers upto 12 spots at the press of a button; is a single pulse precision and proven electronic manipulator to enable a physician-controlled laser treatment to deliver optimal outcome for Retinopathy and Paediatric Retinopathy diseases.

Certain diseases of the eye in relation to the nervous system are dealt here with accurate precision and care.. How does our Eye Function?

The rays of light from an object strike the transparent cornea and bend (refract) to enter through the pupillary aperture and pass through the lens filter to form an image on the central part of retina (macula) which acts as a film. This image signal is carried to the brain by the optic nerve which perceives it as the object known. This is how every component of the eye is important for visual perception.

What is Cornea Transplant?

If there is any kind of obstruction at the cornea affecting light rays from entering the eyes, we go ahead with a Cornea Transplant wherein we remove the diseased cornea and replace it with a donor cornea obtained from a cadaver (within 6 hrs of death).

Why is Cornea Transplanted?

There are a numerous reasons why we need to change the Cornea, if you may be suffering from any of the following:

  • Corneal Scar
  • Corneal Ulcer
  • Corneal Dystrophy
  • Pseudophakic Bullous Keraopathy
  • Severe Spheroidal Degeneration

Who can undergo Cornea Transplantation?

For a favourable outcome following are the prerequisites:

  • perception of Light mustbe present
  • Projection of rays accurate in all quadrants
  • Intraocular pressure between 10-25mm of Hg
  • no Retinal or Choroidal detachment in posterior segment
  • Lids and Adnexa should be healthy
  • Regular follow-up be ensured
  • compliance to medication at given intervals to be strictly observed
  • high risk of graft rejection/failure should be acceptable depending on host factors
